Proudly based in Launceston, Tasmania, Three River is a company dedicated to the best of community theatre: excellent productions, energising social events, authenticity and great company.
We work as a true ensemble; we do our best to create opportunities for both actors and production team members, and to build a company that values each and every contribution to our shows while encouraging excellence in all aspects of the production process.
And, finally, we take joy in what we do, and hope that, in the end, we will have provided memories of a lifetime for our members, and enriched the cultural life of the community of which we are a part.

What We Do
Since 1954, Three River (and its earlier incarnations) has produced drama, comedy, new works and classics, with a focus firmly on theatre which resonates with our times.
We stage productions mostly at the Earl Arts Centre, Launceston. We generally produce one or two shows a year and are not bound to a season nor a subscription base. We also regularly stage three or four rehearsed play readings throughout the year in pop-up spaces as well as a swag of social events.
